Growing up they were influenced by their dad who encouraged them to read every day, even if it was the funnies. Growing up they were influenced by their dad who encouraged them to read every day, even if it was the funnies. “Just read!” he would say... “and pass the love of books onto your children”. They dedicated this book to their mother and father, and then a larger purpose hit them. There had to be more than just getting published... Since their dad passed away from ALS over 22 years ago, they have followed the developments in ALS research. It has been slow, but now giving part of the proceeds from book sales to the Packard Center at Johns Hopkins became the driving force behind finishing and publishing the book.
